A lever Type roller Limit switch is a heavy-duty electromechanical device used on overhead cranes and hoists to prevent over-travel. When the moving crane or trolley reaches a present point, it physically strikes the switch's roller lever, which rotates the internal cam and triggers normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) contacts to immediately cut off power to the motor.
